The “Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1” by Virgil Abloh is a collaboration between the luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton and the sportswear brand Nike, created by the late fashion designer Virgil Abloh. These sneakers were part of the Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2022 Collection and were first released in July 2022. They combine the classic Air Force 1 silhouette with the luxurious craftsmanship of Louis Vuitton, resulting in a unique blend of fashion and functionality.
The collaboration was launched in honor of Virgil Abloh, who served as the Men’s Artistic Director for Louis Vuitton before his passing in November 2021. The collection features various colorways, including white and royal blue, white and green, white and red, and a metallic gold version. The Louis Vuitton Nike Air Force 1 Low by Virgil Abloh White retailed at $2,750.
In addition to the public release, a special auction of the Louis Vuitton and Nike “Air Force 1” by Virgil Abloh took place, with the proceeds donated to The Virgil Abloh “Post-Modern” Scholarship Fund, which supports students of Black, African-American, or African descent in the fashion industry.
